Trends, Innovation, Eco, The Economy And Jeans Will All Be Featured Seminars At The Upcoming Texworld USA

A little something for everyone will be available at the sixth edition of Texworld USA being held February 3 - 5, 2009 at New York City’s Javits Convention Center.

Lenzing Fibers and Lenzing Innovation will once again sponsor and organize the seminar program bringing together some of the industry’s leading organizations to educate and instruct on various topics.

Present and Future Trends and Technologies in Denim
Jeanologia’s Creative Director, Michelle Branch and Jeanologia’s President, Enrique Silla will share their international expertise regarding indigo by discussing two main concepts that will dominate the future in jeans - the environment and technology.

US Retailers and Brands can reengineer their Supply Chain
Mike Todaro, Managing Director of the American Apparel Producers’ network, whose members represent one or more of every step in the supply chain, will lead this open discussion on how supply chains are adapting to the slow down in the global economy.

Eco
As Eco continues to be a hot button in the industry, two of the seminars will be focused on this topic.  The first will feature Karla Magruder, President of Fabrikology, Inc. who will discuss the most credible and best books, magazines, NGO’s and websites for the latest information on ECO.

The second seminar will be presented by Phil Patterson, Managing Director of Colour Connections Textile Consultancy, who will focus on Eco-Metrics which can measure the environmental impact of textile production. The unique Eco-Metrics system is a measuring tool to rate exactly how environmentally friendly products are and allows for accurate comparisons.

Innovations in Knitwear
Advancements in 21st century knitwear. Become knowledgeable about these innovations which include ProModal® and ADVANSA ThermooCoolTM.  Michael Kininmonth, Technical Manager for Lenzing Fibers and Denine Woodrow, Manager/Owner of dp woodrow & company will present.

Trends - Spring/Summer 2010
Carol Meek, President of Color Portfolio, will discuss the direction men’s and women’s fashion trends will take for the Spring/Summer 2010 season. The presentation will focus on key colors, styles, patterns and fabrics important for planning Spring/Summer 2010 menswear and womenswear.

Laurie Pressman, Vice President, Fashion, Home and Interiors of the Pantone Color Institute will present Spring/Summer 2010: The Magic of Colour. Magic gives us the power to imagine, to change, and of course, to create.

Lenzing Innovation
